Redskins – Titans 1st Quarter Thoughts

Kai Forbath lines up for PAT against Tennesee Titans
Not sure if it’s the fact that I live here in Alexandria, Virginia but, the broadcast has lost audio, and has paused several times like in the screenshot above. Thank you Comcast.

As for the Redskins, it’s great to have Brian Orakpo back. Good to see ‘Rak’ get a sack in the first quarter. On the Redskins first drive against the Titans, it was also real great to see Roy Helu, Jr. in the backfield and Fred Davis lined up as TE. Welcome back boys! Kirk Cousins looked real good in the first quarter subbing for RGIII going 6-7 for 57 yards with a TD pass to Fred Davis on a nice play.

On defense, the lack of experience from the Redskins ‘secondary of the future‘ is showing. They allowed a 58 yard scamper for a score by Chris Johnson and another long TD run from Shaun Greene, the former NY Jet.

But, this is what preseason is for – to get game experience and to get used to the speed of the game.

14-7 Titans after one.
